What started as a home of refuge for 12 children from Gujarat in the year 2003 has now become a home for around 50 children. As many have come and gone, integrated back into their homes, lives and systems we recollect how they came at a time when life was bleak, and uncertain. The children from Gujarat had to escape the ravages of communal riots, separated from their parents and loved ones. To the parents any place was safer for their children than the rehab camps, where there was more chaos than shelter and peace.
ROSHNI Home provides children with an ambiance as close to home as possible – every child receives holistic care in areas of comfort, discipline, etiquette, education, religious training, alongside meeting all other needs of children with regard to clothing, nutrition, and health.
